Grab your driving gloves and race suits and commandeer one of the few remaining places on the starting grid, as engines rev for the sixth annual Southern Group of Motoring Writers’ Karting Grand Prix next week.
For those motor industry PR departments and associated organisations that previously couldn’t join the SGMW’s fantastic charity event and now find their diary allows it, there is still a place left on the starting line – but hurry.
Simply contact grid supremo Massimo Pini at: firstname.lastname@example.org (07957 460042) to book and then arrive by 3pm next Thursday 4th April at TeamSport Crawley – the exciting three-tiered indoor track that has hosted all the previous events.
SGMW chairman Ian Robertson said: “This year’s charity is Blood Bikes, a volunteer group that does a fantastic job of moving blood between hospitals at extremely short notice.
“We would love to see you and your team at the Karting GP or would be hugely grateful for any donation towards our presentation cheque to Blood Bikes at race end. Please contact Massimo or our secretary Chris Rees (email@example.com) to join an event that is not just fun but a genuine lifesaver – we have donated more than £20,000 to charities since we launched it in 2014.”
Held at TeamSport, Canada House, Gatwick Rd, Crawley RH10 9RE, it consists of a 150-minute endurance race, after a practice session and safety briefing.
